Your Life at The East Manchester Academy

Pupils and students who choose to come to the Academy will have the fantastic opportunity to learn in a multi-million pound building with all the very latest hi- tech facilities. Whoever comes in 2010 will be our very first prefects, house captains, sports captains and ambassadors.

Year 7: As one of only 180 in the Academy, you will be safe, secure and very well cared for. We also want you to be happy and to have the opportunity to follow interests in sports, performing arts, science, technology, art and outdoor activities.

Once a week you will be able to take part in an activities afternoon and can choose from a range of Design, Create or Perform sessions held in a variety of local venues or in the school grounds. 

The East Manchester Academy will open in September 2010 for a small group of Year 12 students. It will provide a highly specialised  curriculum. It will be of particular interest to students who are certain that they want to pursue a higher education or a career involving Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Architecture or Art and Design.
