Term and Event Dates 2010/11

Pupils will start their new term on Monday 6th September at 8.15 am. We look forward to welcoming our Pioneers.

The Academy to have a five term year with teaching blocks of around eight weeks followed by a one or two week break, with a five week summer holiday. The day is divided into three main learning sections followed by an independent learning period and optional after school activities.It is expected that all pupils attend at least 2 after school activities of their choice.

The five term year designed to maximise learning opportunities for all pupils in a more logical and manageable way, allowing pupils the time to make far greater progress with their learning. The five term year will also provide pupils with a better opportunity to rest and relax before the next term.

During holiday periods, The East Manchester Academy will offer a wide range of sport, study and arts activities to support families with childcare commitments during vacations.
